BADUGI ~ The Hottest New Poker Card Game

I recently started playing BADUGI, and realized that the biggest difference between traditional poker and Badugi is that you only receive four cards instead of five, at the beginning of the hand. It is lowball draw poker version with different hand values than traditional poker.

A new lowball variety offered online as well as offline poker game, which sometimes is called Asian Poker. If you are well aware of the poker game, it’s quite easy to play Badugi. Ofcourse there are many similarities but there are also differences. However, to avoid confusion, it’s necessary to always stay focused on badugi and avoid thinking of the other poker variations.

Badugi (also called Badougi) is a four card triple draw variant where the goal is to end up with four cards of different suits and different ranks. So A234 of four different suits is the best hand. If at the showdown no player has a four card badugi, the player with the lowest three card badugi wins.

Plus, in traditional lowball draw poker you draw one time; in Badugi you draw three times. This game should not be confused with Paduki; there are similar elements between the two, but they have different rules. Most Badugi historians agree that the card game originated in Korea. This game requires the player to think a lot more than in traditional lowball poker because there are three draws instead of just one and also because of the off-suit nature of the game.

Coming up…… How to play the poker game ….. BADUGI!!!!
